Nina’s Journey – We rewind the clocks this frosty December and take a look some years back during the advent of MWP’s fashion photography career; during which, his first major studio was in the midst of renovations, hosting an impressive 3000 square foot loft space. At that time, a younger Nina Dobrev along with her mom, visited the studio to discuss a potential shoot. Back when Nina and her mother first visited MWP, she shone the glow of intention, optimism, and the light of things to come. Michael recognized her ambitious spirit and offered encouragement and advice regarding options for agents and over-all suggestions on how to best find a way to where she wanted to go. MWP tested the young model, covering the ground work for headshots and agency standards. While developing a friendship, she was invited back to the studio to capture a timeless series of fashion shots in this Couture Kimono. As you can also see in the images, her background as a dancer is evident. As both fans and friends, MWP and team are happy to celebrate Nina’s past, current and future success. Way to go Nina!

Nina is gracing the April 2011 cover of Teen Vogue Magazine on newsstand March 15! We added some beautiful photos from the photoshoot and one photo from the backstage in The Gallery! Nina looks mesmerizing! ♥

Let’s just get this comparison out of the way: Nina Dobrev is the anti-Bella. Coming to greet me on the Atlanta set of The Vampire Diaries—the CW’s take on pop culture’s trendiest figures of folklore—she’s unguarded and unself-conscious, all smiles and hugs. Her trailer vibes of a teenager’s bedroom: Fashion magazines, stuffed animals, and shoeboxes fill floor space and various corners. There’s a half-drunk bottle of kombucha on the desk, a corkboard of photos of cast-mates and friends, and notes to herself scrawled on a chalkboard-painted wall (“pay bills,” reads one).
Then, suddenly: “Oh my god, I’m so embarrassed.” Our eyes land on a cheesy male pinup calendar hanging near the door. She runs to it immediately, nervously tearing it from the wall. “For my twenty-first birthday! It was a joke gift! Please don’t judge!” Read the rest?

We can’t believe it’s been 1 year already since we opened the site on February 16, 2010! The site grew so much and we’re really proud of it! We have over 72.000 photos (making us the largest Nina (only) photogallery on the web) in our Gallery and everyday it gets bigger! We wanted to thank everyone that has been visiting the site everyday, we’re really grateful for your support and we really love you guys and this site wouldn’t be the same without you!
